PROVENANCE: From the collection of Angus MacLeod, Aberdeen. EXHIBITED: The Scottish Gallery, 'Janice Tchalenko Stoneware', Edinburgh, 1989. This was the cover piece for the catalogue from the above exhibition. It was presented to Angus MacLeod in 1989 upon his retirement from Gray's School of Art (now part of Robert Gordon University) in Aberdeen, where he had developed and run the ceramics department since the 1950s. The lot is accompanied by a copy of the catalogue and a letter from MacLeod's assistant, Ian Pirie, who subsequently took over as head of department, and is now Professor of Design and Assistant Principle of Learning Developments at Edinburgh University.

CONDITION: Perfect condition with no damage or restoration
