Hexagonal Bowl
Stoneware, irridescent Kujaku-yu 'Peacock' glaze with shimmering purple and blue colours, decorated with golden peony flowers to each facet and a spiralling disc in the well, incised maker's mark. Together with a signed wooden Box.
H 9cm, D 23.5cm
PROVENANCE: The T.F.G. Jones Collection of Japanese Ceramics. LITERATURE: Kikuchi Collection BIOGRAPHY: After studying Arita and Kiyomizu porcelain wares, he established his kiln in Yamanashi in 1971. All of Miura's raw materials are taken from the local areas surrounding Mount Fuji. Miura has exhibited extensively and is represented in public collections internationally. He has also presented works to the Emperor of Japan and received many awards.

CONDITION: Perfect condition with no damage or restoration
